The Panto That Nearly Never Was - Part One

It gives me great pleasure to present to you, considering the Covid-19 situation

The Panto That Nearly Never Was fit up.

It was on, it was off, it was a pantomime from start to finish and we loved every minute of the process.

In a covid safe and aware enviroment, we were able to take the first steps to bring a show to the good people of Flintshire and surrounding areas.

First things first...overheads!

We wanted to make sure that everything that needed flying was up and out of they way. We had to strip and recover a couple of the portal legs first, save the old material, add a batton to the top and bottom to fly them sperately. You can see the bare portal legs on S/L in the above pictures

The first two pictures are the model box and you can see that there isn't much space.

Not everything is plain sailing in panto world and this one was no different. There were no spare bars for the Panto sign to be hung from, so we decided to rig some lines from the grid. Nic created a pulley system to fly the sign from the fly floor and we designed our own counterweight system. Nod to Anthony for the drawing .

Finally we get to start on the Lx Rig! I love Lighting Rig 1 pic it looks like a model. The LX team come in and put the units on the bars cable them up and put in the colour. We facilitate this with loading the bars with the correct weights and flying them out. Job well done build the stage next...... in part two
